Interviewed by DVT Sport, Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong spoke about his meeting with Polish striker Robert Lewandowski on Saturday evening after the Nations League match between the Netherlands and Poland (2-2). The FC Barcelona midfielder did not reveal his conversation with the Bayern striker who is expected to join Barca this summer, but he said the 33-year-old Pole was one of the best players in the world and that he would be happy to see him join Catalonia during the summer transfer window.

“He’s an incredible player, one of the best in the world. The decision he makes is up to him. But of course I would like to have Lewandowski in my team.”said de Jong of the Munich centre-forward who has scored 50 goals and provided seven assists in 46 appearances this season.
