Google appoints banker to head cloud business in Switzerland and Austria

Google Cloud has appointed Roi Tavor as Managing Director for Switzerland and Austria. He will lead the teams in these two countries from the Zurich headquarters and work to grow Google’s cloud business in the region. He succeeds Christian Martin, who held this position since the end of 2020 after leading Cisco Switzerland.

According to the Google Cloud press release, Roi Tavor was until now Head of Financial Services within the group in Zurich. The new Managing Director has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry as an executive and as an entrepreneur. Before joining Google, he created and managed the fintech Nummo for 3 years and previously worked for 10 years for the Julius Baer bank, notably as Managing Director and member of the Management Advisory Board.
