On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Street View, Google is sharing the list of countries and cities most visited in the world by users of this Maps function. We also discover the most visited places in France.

Google Street View turns 15 this week. This feature of Google Maps allows you to visualize – using 360 degree photos – roads, tourist sites and monuments. More than 100 countries and territories are covered and, obviously, some take advantage of this option to virtually visit certain places.
For the anniversary of Street View, Google is sharing the top 10 most visited places in the world via this platform to satisfy our curiosity. In detail, the firm actually shares three rankings:
- the most visited countries in the world on Street View;
- the most visited cities in the world on Street View;
- the most visited places in France on Street View.

Google also shares the three most visited landmarks in the world on Street View. We find the Eiffel Tower in second position. The first place is occupied by the Burj Khalifa, the huge skyscraper in Dubai and the tallest building in the world culminating at 828 meters.
The podium is then completed by the Taj Mahal in India.
