M’Baye Niang (Bordeaux) proves that he is badly injured in the left thigh

Unhappy to have been suspected by Bordeaux of having feigned an injury so as not to take part in the reception of Lorient, this Saturday evening (9 p.m., live commentary), Bordeaux striker M’Baye Niang sent us the results of the ultrasound on the left thigh which he passed on Thursday, May 12 in Mérignac. He suffers “a small grade 1 M intrinsic muscle lesion of the peripheral portion of the left semitendinosus”.

In the eyes of the staff, the Senegalese striker would have – like Benoît Costil (tendonitis in one knee) – been able to play if he had decided to do violence to himself. He was finally sanctioned by his leaders after a very tense exchange with technical director Admar Lopes before Friday’s session. The manager came out of his hinges by criticizing the Bordeaux locker room for not being up to speed. Niang replied, in essence, that the converse was true.

A futsal that did not please the leaders

This exchange took place after the episode of “futsal” which particularly displeased the Bordeaux management. As reported by the girondins4ever site, five players – including Niang – were seen Monday in a Mérignac complex playing five the day after the big defeat conceded to Angers (1-4).

“The management took the file in hand and managed the filesaid Bordeaux coach David Guion during his press briefing. I have no other things to add. I was of course aware, I was made aware. But now, the management took the file in hand, and met the players. They are at my disposal”.

“It’s a collective sinking, wanted to react Badou Sambaguéwhich manages Niang’s interests. At this time of the season, it is not the objective to target an individual player. The discussion that M’Baye had with management was precisely about the fact that the problem was collective and not individual, and not targeted at certain people”.
