A show of force from the Jumbo-Visma. Jonas Vingegaard and Primoz Roglic, both members of the Dutch team, arrived together at the head of this eighth and final stage of the Critérium du Dauphiné, Sunday June 12. The Slovenian, wearing the yellow jersey and assured of the final victory in the general classification, left the stage success to the Dane, at the top of the Salaison plateau.
Vingegaard and Roglic unleashed a decisive attack on the final climb, five kilometers from the finish. Only Ben O’Connor (AG2R) was able to follow them for a time, before failing 15 seconds behind the duo.
