Many websites and Internet services have encountered problems: what happened? Here are all the details.
Reports show that a widespread outage at Cloudflare, Inc. (NYSE:NET) affected several popular websites in the early hours of Tuesday.
Cloudflare said it identified an issue and implemented a fix. The company communicated via its website that it was “investigating widespread issues” with the Services and/or its network.

Users reported that several sites were down, including Amazon Web Services ofAmazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN), Coinbase Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:COIN) and Discord. Vimeo, OpenSea, eToro, Patreon and Skype were also affected.
Cloudflare is an American company that offers content delivery network, Internet security services, and distributed domain name server services.
Discord bugs may be related to Cloudflare through Downdetector. According to Downdetector, the anime streaming service Crunchyroll and DoorDash, Inc. (NYSE:DASH) were among the sites that reportedly ran into problems.
Other impacted services also included Google’sAlphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) (NASDAQ:GOOG), NordVPN and the famous gaming platform Steam.
Zerodha, an Indian online broker, advised its users to switch to another ISP if they could not access their service. The company informed that “Cloudflare – the network transit, proxy, security provider used by most internet businesses around the world – is experiencing a global outage. If you are unable to use our websites or apps, please try switching to another ISP as an alternate route may work.”
